Brand Name Generator – Database Updated

Today we added 8 more new databases to our brand name generator tool to generate more interesting and creative brand names. And we believe these new databases of our brand name generator tool will help you to create and find some amazing and cool names for your website or blog or product or company.

We all know how to pick a brand name. Basically a good brand name should be short, easy to remember and pronounceable. Keeping these main criteria in mind we added these new databases to our brand naming tool. 8 new databases are divided into 2 categories –

First category – Starts with “V” (Vowel)

  • VCV (vowel + consonant + vowel letter)
  • VCVC (vowel + consonant + vowel + consonant letter)
  • VCCV (vowel + consonant + consonant + vowel letter)
  • VCVCV ((vowel + consonant + vowel + consonant + vowel letter)

Second category – Starts with “C” (Consonant)

  • CVC (consonant + vowel + consonant letter)
  • CVCV (consonant + vowel + consonant + vowel letter)
  • CVVC (consonant + vowel + vowel + consonant letter)
  • CVCVC (consonant + vowel + consonant + vowel +consonant letter)

Basically “V” stands for “Vowel” letter and “C” stands for “Consonant” letter. Usually a vowel followed by a consonant again followed by a vowel or a consonant followed by a vowel again followed by a vowel makes a word very easy to pronounce. And using this concept and core relationship of English letters we developed these new databases to create more catchy brand names.

Now let me show you how to use first category’s databases to create very interesting and catchy brand names.

First Category – Starts with “V” (Vowel)

Say you are looking for a brand name for your product which is a “Pen”. The word “Pen” ends with a consonant “n” – pen” and say you want a brand name keeping the word “pen” (known as descriptive brand name). Since the word ends with “n” we would use “VCV” or “VCVC” or “VCCV” or “VCVCV” as our word group. Why? I already said a word with a consonant letter + a vowel letter + a consonant letter+ vowel letter (so on) sounds great. And using the strategy we will create brand name ideas for our product “Pen”.

Okay, now just hit “Generate Names” button and do not select “Creative Beginning” and make sure to select “Creative End” option.

What our brand generator will do is it will add all Vowel+Consonant+Vowel word or combinations at the end of your product “Pen” and will generate brand names like –

  • Penevo (pen+vcv)
  • Penorom (pen+vcvc)
  • Penanzi (pen+vccv)
  • Penitoma (pen+vcvcv)

And if you prefer “Creative Beginning” (though personally I don’t like to use this option with our new databases) for the same word group then tool will create names like –

  • Evopen (vcv+pen)
  • Orompen (vcvc+pen)
  • Anzipen (vccv+pen)
  • Itomapen (vcvcv+Pen)

See the image below to understand how this tool will work when you will select any of those databases.

Don’t you think these are some interesting names for a “Pen”!!

Second Category – Starts with “C” (Consonant)

Now let’s see how to use our second category’s database for your product name ideas. Let us assume you are looking for a brand name for new product – “Camera”.  The word “Camera” ends with a vowel “a” – “Camera”. Since “Camera” ends with vowel letter we will use “CVC” or “CVCV” or “CVVC” or “CVCVC” as our word group to create catchy and pronounceable brandable domain names or brand names for our product.  When you hit the generate names button tool will create names like

  • Camerasis (camera+cvc)
  • Cameramala (camera+cvcv)
  • Camerapool (camera+cvvc)
  • Cameralogis (camera+cvcvc)

Check out the image to understand how the tool will create or suggest names with these databases.
